How does the rental process work?

Our process is simple. You can view our gear list available for rent in our Gear Rental page and enter your dates desired to rent. If they are available you can add them to your cart to reserve the items. The fee on the rentals is /per day which will be charged on your card when you reserve. And we require a gear deposit, meaning it will hold a charge fee /per item but it will not be charged to your card unless the item is lost or not returned. We rent our items from our home - you will be sent pick-up and drop-off instructions once your reservation is complete.
 

What types of gear do you offer for rent?

We provide camping and backpacking gear for rent. We are starting off with the gear we have (tents, sleeping bags, sleeping pads, etc.) and plan to purchase more if we see a demand in items. All rentalas are a first come-first serve basis.
 

Are the rental items clean and well-maintained?

We assure our customers that all rental gear is thoroughly cleaned, inspected, and maintained between uses to ensure quality and safety. If an item is returned damaged, we will decide whether to fix the item or no longer rent the item.
 

What are the rental rates and durations?

All rental fees are cost/per day (daily) which will be charged on your card when you reserve. And we require a gear deposit, meaning it will hold a charge fee /per item but it will not be charged to your card unless the item is lost, damaged, or not returned on time.
 

Do you offer delivery and pickup services?

We do not offer delivery (including shipping) or pickup services. All customers must pickup ad dropoff gear from our home, where we stock all rental items.
 

What happens if I damage or lose rented gear?

Damaged gear will be charged a fee depending on severity of the damages. Lost gear will be charged the security holding deposit of the item(s).

Can I cancel or modify my rental reservation?

Customers can cancel at any time before the 24 hour pick-up time. A 50% charge will be invoiced if it is canceled within the 24 hour period. Modifications can be made if item(s) are still available in the new reservation date.

Do you offer any additional services or packages?

Yes, Valerie is an Outings Leader for Latino Outdoors, where they offer monthly local community hikes, you can register on Eventbrite to join! Valerie also offer Adventure Photography services where you can go on a hike together and take the best portrait photos! Lastly, Val and Carlos offer private guided backpacking trips for anyone wanted to request an awesome adventure.
